Photographs
Although most of the photographs are of ships associated with Elder Dempster Lines, there are also smaller sets of photographs, such as a collection images of a silver napkin ring from MV Aureol’s maiden voyage in 1951. This napkin ring is also held in this collection.
Another set of images are of Malcolm Miller, an original three masted topsail 45.67 metre schooner. This was launched in 1967 in Aberdeen, Scotland, and is the sister ship to Sir Winston Churchill.
The collection also contains personal photographs of Captain James Morgan’s life, to give an insight into his remarkable achievements.
